SUMMARY:Quantum Computing [English]
Florian Neukart (Volkswagen AG) ab 18 Uhr Vorträge über Quantencomputing a
m MobileLifeCampus in Wolfsburg.\n\nAbstracts\n\nIn his talk, Mr. Bo Ewald
will introduce the concepts and history of quantum computing starting with
Richard Feynman’s original ideas in 1982.  We will then discuss different a
pproaches to designing and building a quantum computer and then go into mor
e detail about the world’s only commercial quantum computers from D-Wave Sy
stems.  Finally, we’ll review some of the early prototype applications that
have been tried on quantum computers and give some insight into where they
might fit into the array of computational tools.\n\nAfterwards Mr. Florian
Neukart will lecture about understanding how to leverage the power of quan
tum computers, and about quantum-assisted machine learning and simulated ph
ysics. Are QC generally more powerful than classical computers? By understa
nding when they are not powerful, we will understand how to efficiently wri
te algorithms for certain quantum systems. Furthermore, there exists a rema
rkable harmony between physics and mathematics, but what about computer sci
ence? We will walk through some basic quantum algorithms, and will approach
the limits of classical computation.\n\nWhat if today someone shows that P
does not equal NP for a classical computer? Would we really be happy that
the intractability of NP- complete problems had been shown?\n\nQC opens an
entire bag of worrying about the foundations of computational complexity.\n
\nWir heißen Sie und Ihre Gäste herzlich willkommen, der Eintritt ist koste
 nfrei.
